Act of Repentance Service
Bishop Hee- Soo Jung said he was deeply moved by the Acts of Repentance service on Friday evening. “I have received it as God’s amazing call to this act of repentance. We must follow our promise and commitment toward restoration.” He said the hope is for conference-wide preparation for an Act of Repentance toward indigenous people at the 2013 Northern Illinois Annual Conference. "As a United Methodist and a Christian leader, I hold deep apology of harm done to Native Americans and indigenous people in the world," he added.
