The Communications staff provide resources and support to conference, district and local church leaders through print, audio & video, and digital communications and by networking with people and groups involved in communications ministry. Some examples are:
- www.arumc.org – resources for pastors, local church communicators, and conference and district board and committee members
- Arkansas United Methodist newspaper – published 16 times per year in print and digital formats
- Arkansas Email network - daily messages sent to network subscribers
- Weekly Enews in Review and Events Updates
- Local church communicator's network
- Igniting Ministry media grants and outreach campaigns
- Welcoming & inviting local church certification
- Resources and support for website, internet and technology questions
Training opportunities:
- Internet technology
- Welcoming & inviting, available on-line, face-to-face or through independent study
- Communications, marketing and branding
- Working with news reporters and spokesperson training
- Public relations and successfully promoting special events
