

theKit, as a concept, started many years ago by our founder's passion for customer service. Jacques Woodcock, our founder and President, has worked for a number of web agencies over the past 12 years, eventually leading to his founding of his own consulting firm, then theKit.
Through his experience, he has worked in the creative, planning and project management, as well as technical aspects of web site development. The one corner stone to all his experience has been his focus on customer experience.
In 2009 Jacques and some other industry friends were talking about how there was not a good content management platform for mid-level companies. These companies were identified as ones that had great feature needs but not the budget to hire a technical on-staff employee. All solutions require that these companies either hire a new team member, which is expensive, or rely on paying a web firm a premium hourly fee to maintain their website.
theKit was built to for these companies, to offer them a robust suite of tools and the technical partner they need to insure they understand how to use these tools and maintain the technical side of their website.
theKit was built around 3 philosophies:
1. Usability
We understand that the majority of our clients are not technical minded people. They are creatives, marketers or just people needing to get a job done. So we build every feature of theKit with this in mind, making it as easy as possible to accomplish everyday tasks.
2. Affordability
Having a great product and great service isn't any good if no one can afford them. We know this and we know that when you have a piece-together web solution, costs can come out of everywhere. The tool set we have built eliminates as many fees as possible and keeps the monthly cost low.
3. Customer Support
Finally, our cornerstone belief, that to truly be a beneficial solution for your client, you must provide great customer support. We do this by training every new client on how to use theKit, sometimes multiple times as staff changes.
We also have a ticket system, knowledge base, user manuals, and video how-to's. Finally, if you just need to talk with someone, we're here. We have a toll-free number you can call during business hours to get the help you can't find elsewhere.
We approach implementation of your design differently than most content management platforms. We implement by hand. Yes, yes, we know there are easier ways to implement a website, but there isn't a better way.
By doing the implementation by hand, we can insure that all the unique characteristics of your site are kept intact, that content behaviors are possible and mostly, that you are not stuck using some template that is one dimensional.
